About Me
Mackenzie is a self-taught, small-batch ceramic artist residing in Columbus, OH. She started making pottery in 2021 - her work often features animals, bugs and mushrooms - there are infinite small worlds right underneath your nose, if you just take the time to look.
Mackenzie has a unique sense of humor and strong love of nature, which often comes across in her designs. If a piece falls outside of this realm, it's probably an idea that popped into her head at 3 AM for no reason - or is related to a more serious subject. You never really know.
When she's not making pottery, Mackenzie is either working in her healthcare job (special education sector), spooning her dog, or spending time with family and friends. Mackenzie enjoys boardgaming, hiking, and playing sand volleyball (badly). She also holds a part-time job at a local pottery studio managing their social media.
Mackenzie does take commissions and custom orders from time to time. If you see something made in the past that is currently unavailable, those products are usually no problem to recreate (exact copies and same results are NOT guaranteed). If you are looking for a different clay color, or use of different glaze effects and colors than you currently see don't in her work - those take an incredibly long time to test and develop. One glaze may fit a white clay, but be totally incompatible with speckled or dark clays. She is open to hearing any requests, but be prepared for a "no" - if at all possible she will refer you to another artist who may better fit your needs.
